Starting a few weeks back I started perusing my fav sites for planner ideas for 2014. We ALL do this right? New planners, several throughout the year or picking up a planner just because its CUTE and finding it 2 years later shoved in a box with a few days used . *sigh* . Im soo guilty of this too. I have many "graveyards" and one of them is the graveyard of planners past!
I do still use my phone and Google calender for quick access, but there is always something so refreshing and inspiring opening up your planner to a new crisp page, feeling the ink roll onto the page with your favorite pen in gorgeous happy colors and of course.. color coding! But, I'm one of those nerds who always got excited school shopping for new binders, notebooks, pens... um... back to the subject of my new planner.. lol
I searched and searched.. okay.. it really only took a few minutes after going to one of my absolutely fav sites iheartorganizing.com where I found THIS post http://iheartorganizing.blogspot.com/2013/01/my-2013-daily-planner.html. My eyes glazed over with excitement and head started spinning with all of the endless possibilities I had already purchased Jen's gorgeous printables from last year here, https://www.etsy.com/shop/IHeartOrganizing, but sadly did not use them due to just not having a system in place that utilized them! :( Now this year, I DO! I immediately got online and followed her links for the delicious little touches like paperclips, sticky notes, tags, dividers etc. I searched online for the Martha Stewart Discbound that happened to exist in my FAV color, but to my dismay they were sold out online :( I jumped in the car in a snowstorm.. (totally worth it right?) and ran to the nearest Staples.. I almost passed out when I saw the entire lineup of Martha Stewart's Discbound items all beautifully lined up.. and the Heavens opened up.. OK they did NOT, but I WAS very excited ;)
I purchased everything needed, and not needed, but thought my Rubicoil binding machine may be able to punch the holes correctly to add what I wanted, including Jen's printables to my new planner :) Unfortunately, it did not - so back to Staples - in a rainstorm this time, and purchased the Arc Punch. It is a little pricey at first, but just remember, you will be able to use this planner for years and the punch will allow you to add whatever you want into your planner - so totally worth it to me! I could add all of the links here, but I will just link you straight to her post with her links and showing you more details on her printables you just MUST get!
p.s. If you go to staples - take the 25% off coupons with you from this past weekends paper! If you do purchase the Arc Punch, be sure to let them know it is cheaper online and they will print that for you and give you the cheaper price :)
Now I need to get printing and organizing 2014 with all of my new goodies and printables!
